Biography

Professor Mathieu Olivier is interested in the numerical simulation of multi-physics problems linked to aerodynamics and the fields of hydraulic and wind energy. He specializes more specifically in computational fluid mechanics and fluid-structure interaction. His work on numerical algorithms for fluid-structure coupling has led to advances in our understanding of the aeroelastic phenomena involved in flapping-wing flight and in turbine concepts using elastic components.
